A standard mid-size North Indian wedding lunch or dinner buffet typically includes 4–5 starters, 2 soups, 3–4 dry sabzis, 2–3 gravy dishes, 1–2 dals, 3–4 breads, 2–3 rice dishes, 5–7 sweets, 2–3 raitas and 3–4 drinks. Total 35–50 items is considered a respectable spread.
